St Ives Hotel and Guesthouse asociation have long been active in marketing and promoting their town as an excellent holiday destination. Their website provides a great deal of information on St Ives including their members' accommodation and recommended places to eat.

With a unique atmosphere and thriving social and cultural scene, St Ives has much to offer all visitors. Golden beaches, art museums, winding streets and a harbour have made the town a popular destination for families, couples seeking a romantic break and artists. Hardly surprising then that St Ives won the accolade of "Seaside Town of the Year" in 2007.

Reflecting St Ives' optimistic outlook, the Hotel and Guesthouse Association have recently given their website a full re-design offering extra features such as video clips of the town. The website continues to offer all the information that visitors might need with easy to use navigation and no adverts to clutter the screen!

About St Ives - Cornwall

Information about St Ives - Cornwall:

St Ives is a town virtually surrounded by the sea. It occupies a jutting promantory on Cornwall's north coast with golden beaches to each side it is little wonder that St Ives attracts visitors all year round but particularly during the summer months.

The town's best known attraction is probably the Tate St Ives, which was built in recognition of the long artistic heritage that St Ives has behind it. For many, it is the quality of the light that fascinates - a product of the sea all around that is elusive and ever-changing.

Elsewhere, the Barbara Hepworth Museum and Leach pottery celebrate the lives and works of two other famous residents of St Ives, each with their own artistic specialty.

St Ives is not a summer only community, however. The town supports a thriving youth theatre which stages a regular programme of high quality performances. In the spring, the town celebrates in its own unique way with the anarchic and competitive Silver Ball Hurling in the harbour. In recent years, St Ives has become quite well known for its new year celebrations with residents and visitors taking to the streets in fancy dress to see the new year in.

The harbour remains the heart of the town now as ever with locally caught produce still being landed to appear shortly afterwards in local restaurants and hotels.
