About Newquay - Cornwall
Newquay is well known for its expansive sandy beaches and its surf. The town is a magnet for surfers from all over the UK and much further afield! The surfing conditions on Fistral Beach, which has lifeguards overseeing it for much of the year, are among the best in the world.
Newquay's attraction is broader than surfing however. It has long been popular with families whose younger members are more interested in the building qualities of the sand than the surf! Parents can relax in the sun, youngsters can excavate and build whilst those in the middle can surf, sunbathe or bodyboard. In this respect, Newquay really does offer something for everyone.
Newquay has some fantastic visitor attractions too, with the Blue Reef Aquarium, Newquay Zoo and the Tunnels through Time among the most popular. Within a short drive are fantastic farm parks and Lappa Valley Railway whilst the nearby A30 provides access up and down the County for wider exploration.
